Last Sunday Robert Williams began with a shared reading of Psalm 122: I was glad when they said
unto me let us go to the house of the Lord. Robert thanked God for his constant and powerful
presence and prayed for peace in a strife torn world, for personal suffering and for God’s blessing
on those visiting our link church in Romania soon.
Guy read to us from Micah 6 and Matthew 5 – the Sermon on the Mount. In both passages God
gives clear instructions and encouragement on the right way to live. Jesus spent a lot of time
teaching his disciples, sowing seeds for the early church, showing them how to recognise signs of
God’s will. Robert shared his experiences of following well known walks, the importance of signs
to guide us. In Matthew 5 Jesus instructs the people how to follow God’s will and the comfort, help
and strength we shall receive. We should be thankful for such blessings, do what is just, show
constant love and live in humble fellowship with God.
We sang Give me the faith… and shared the Grace together.
Next Sunday our service with Holy Communion at 10.30am will be led by Rev. Rob Cotton
