Last Sunday we were delighted to welcome Trevor Williams who opened our service with words
from Jeremiah 29: “I know the plans I have for you. You will find me because you seek me with all
your heart.” Jill read from Luke 8 – Jesus heals a sick woman; Keith from Philippians 4 – rejoice,
the Lord is near. Trevor prayed for those of concern to us before he introduced us to Bear Gryll’s
book, The greatest story ever told, the subject of a series of 5 studies planned for June/July.

Trevor described Jesus travelling in Galilee surrounded by crowds eager to hear him speak and cure
the sick. The woman was desperate to find a cure for her shunned affliction. She hoped to avoid
attention but Jesus felt the power drawn from him when she touched his robe so she told him her
whole sad story. Her faith brought healing. When we share our troubles entirely with God we are
put in touch with his healing power. Simple faith, truthfulness and peace are available to all. The
task before us is never as mighty as the power behind us.
